Puppets

The nine puppets in the first section below are made from vacuum formed leftovers from other puppets, who other makers moulded. I created the bodies, hair, beards, costumes, hats, and did the airbrush paint job on them. They are designed by Ida Marie Ellekilde for The Royal Danish Theatre’s rendition of The Hobbit. In total, we created upwards 200 puppets for the show.

Puppets in the section below are made by a team of puppet makers. I did the airbrush paint job on them. There were four of each. They are designed by Ida Marie Ellekilde for The Royal Danish Theatre’s rendition of The Hobbit.

Gilda the hand puppet

Made for the Opera Rigoletto, this was a hand puppet version of one of the characters. A tailor sewed this costume.

Duke the hand puppet

Made for the Opera Rigoletto, this was a hand puppet version of one of the characters. A tailor sewed some of this costume, I fit the rest onto the mechanism. It is unfortunately missing a hand and a foot in this video.

Singing hand puppet

Made for fun, designed by me.

Pimp rod puppet

Made for fun, designed by me.

Frograt

This unfinished, RC controlled, mechanical pile of exploding carrot-puppet, made for the contemporary dance performance Kill Your Darlings, was ironically killed from the show before I had finished making them. (Yes, they were non-binary.)
