Meet your maker!

 - If you have a project you need made, don’t hesitate to drop me a line! I'm based in two cities, and gladly travel for work.

Anna Dyrby is a prop- and puppet maker based in Copenhagen and Barcelona. In 2015-2023 she worked at The Royal Danish Theatre, building and managing props and puppets for 30 operas, plays, ballets and contemporary dance performances. In 2020 she started teaching prop making at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, from where she herself has a degree in prop making and stage management.

Anna’s skills are versatile and plenty, and she always seeks to improve and refine them. She enjoys the building process from start to finish. Her broad knowledge of techniques and materials, matched with her artistic understanding and skill, ensures that the designer’s vision is perfectly balanced with resources and practicality, to make the finest result for the performance in question. She works well as an independent part of a small or big team, and is often lead prop maker and prop master/prop technician on some of the biggest performances in Denmark.
